FANUC Poland Opens Advanced Technological Competence Centre in Wrocław.

Wrocław, 13 November 2024 – FANUC Poland has officially opened its new headquarters in Wrocław, creating one of the most advanced technological competence centres in Poland. The facility, covering 9,812 m², combines office space, an advanced service department, a local spare parts warehouse, a retrofit zone, laboratories, a modern technological showroom, and an expanded FANUC Academy.

The ceremony was attended by representatives of FANUC’s global leadership: Kenji Yamaguchi, President & CEO of FANUC CORPORATION; Marco Ghirardello, President & CEO of FANUC Europe; and Jędrzej Kowalczyk, President of the Management Board of FANUC Poland.

A New Stage in FANUC Poland’s Development

The new headquarters at 2 Sakury Street is a response to the dynamic growth of the Polish branch, the increasing needs of the automation market, and the expectations of customers and partners.

“Today’s event is more than the opening of a new building for us. It’s a symbolic new beginning – a milestone that opens up entirely new opportunities,” emphasised Jędrzej Kowalczyk, President of the Management Board of FANUC Poland.

Marco Ghirardello, President & CEO of FANUC Europe, highlighted the growing importance of the Polish market: “FANUC Poland is part of a strong European network that delivers the most innovative technologies and the highest quality of service. Our mission is to strengthen the competitiveness of our customers and jointly build the industry of the future.”

Meanwhile, Kenji Yamaguchi, President & CEO of FANUC CORPORATION, speaking about the observed rise in demand for automation, presented the latest innovations in the company’s portfolio, including FANUC 500i-A CNC controls, the new generation αi-D SERVO systems, the R-50iA robot controller, and the expanded CRX cobot series, designed to support companies in overcoming current production challenges.

Showroom – A Modern Space Supporting the Development of Automation

An 808 m² technologically advanced showroom has been created, showcasing FANUC’s full portfolio of solutions. It is a place where innovation meets practice – a space for inspiration, testing, and demonstrating real scenarios of digital transformation.

The centrepiece of the display is a fully automated robot model production line, supported by AI-driven systems managing component logistics and integrated with an MES system. The entire setup operates on the FIELD system Basic Package platform, ensuring top-tier cybersecurity standards and full control over processes.

The showroom also includes an extensive presentation of applications developed together with partners, reflecting real manufacturing processes – from welding large-scale structures, through integrated machining “on a single table”, electrical discharge machining and plastics injection moulding, to laser solutions and specialised automation stations.

“Our technologies make it possible to monitor machine efficiency (OEE), analyse the achievement of production targets, and assess return on investment (ROI) with precision,” noted J. Kowalczyk.

Service First – Top-Tier Service and Support

As much as 3,919 m² of the new facility is dedicated to an expanded service area, including technical support spaces, a local spare parts warehouse (2,726 m²), a retrofit zone (304 m²), and laboratories (374 m²).

Kenji Yamaguchi reminded attendees of FANUC’s unique philosophy:

“The ‘Service First’ policy means lifetime technical support for our products – even 20 or 30 years after installation. FANUC has more than 280 service offices worldwide and supports customers in over 100 countries.”

FANUC Academy – A New-Generation Training Centre

The new headquarters has made it possible to significantly extend training operations. Covering 2,223 m², the Academy features 18 modern training rooms, 32 educational stations, and teaching facilities operated by 10 specialised trainers.

FANUC Academy can train more than 1,500 specialists per year, offering practical courses for both beginners and advanced participants, covering FANUC’s entire product portfolio.

Completing this space is a 195 m² multimedia auditorium, ideal for workshops, conferences and open days.

Infrastructure in Line with Global Trends

The new FANUC Poland building combines functionality, ergonomics, and sustainable design. The facility is equipped with an intelligent building management system (BMS), green, quiet and integration zones, an access control system, electric vehicle chargers, and gantries with lifting capacities of 25 t and 16 t.

Employees and visitors also appreciate the friendly canteen (257 m²), which serves attractive meals, as well as nine conference rooms designed to meet a wide range of business needs.

The building is located on a 44,895 m² plot, directly adjacent to the A4 and A8 motorways and the S5 expressway, offering convenient access for customers and partners from across Poland.

A Strong Technology Partner for a Strong Industry

FANUC Poland currently supports: 9,800 robots, 12,000 CNC controls, 810 ROBODRILL machines, 184 ROBOCUT electrical discharge machines, 213 ROBOSHOT injection moulding machines, and 156 lasers installed at facilities throughout the country.

The company emphasises that the new headquarters will enable even more effective support for customers in building competitive advantage through automation.
