FANUC offers support to local children’s hospice

Press Release | 19th December 2018

This Christmas, FANUC is donating £3,000 to Zoe’s Place Baby Hospice, a charity that provides specialist care to babies and infants.

Zoe’s Place Baby Hospice was founded by Jack Scarisbrick in 1995, when he recognised that many families with children suffering from life-threatening illnesses were in need of specialist facilities, offering access to both palliative and respite care.

The charity now has facilities, funded by donations, in Liverpool, Middlesbrough and Coventry to provide nurses and specialist equipment. Zoe’s Place Baby Hospice aims to improve quality of life for children in their care, with 24-hour services offering interactive therapies and tailored care plans created by dedicated staff members.
The organisation also offers family support, providing valuable respite care to help families cope with caring for children with life-limiting conditions and bereavement support for those dealing with the loss of a child.

Tom Bouchier, Managing Director at FANUC UK, commented “We’re delighted to offer our support to such a wonderful charity that provides such amazing care for young children and their families. We chose to donate to Zoe’s Place Baby Hospice, as we can see that this is an incredibly worthy cause, and that this money will make a real difference.”

Muna Chauhan, Corporate Manager said “We had the call out of the blue, we were not expecting this beautiful gift before Christmas, to receive a donation of this size before the festive season is truly wonderful. We thank the team at FANUC for providing an additional 120 hours of care, that’s how they have truly made a difference.”

FANUC is pleased to announce that they will be continuing to support Zoe’s Place Baby Hospice in 2019, with donations and participation in fundraising events. The latest fundraisers for the charity include the Gangster and Moll Charity Ball on 17 May 2019 and the Zoe’s Place Annual Golf Day on 4 July 2019.
