FANUC, a global leader in factory automation, has been recognised for leadership in corporate transparency and performance on climate change by global environmental non-for-profit charity CDP, securing a place on its annual ‘A List’ for the first time.
Based on data reported through CDP’s 2023 Climate Change questionnaire, only 346 companies are classified as A List out of over 21,000 companies scored worldwide.
FANUC has set mid-term and long-term targets for reducing greenhouse gas emissions and is promoting multiple efforts to achieve them. The company’s targets for the financial year 2030 are certified by the SBT (Science Based Targets) initiative, based on the United Nations Global Compact, the World Resources Institute and the World Wide Fund for Nature.
FANUC is contributing to the realisation of a carbon-neutral society by promoting emission reductions, not only from the company’s own activities, but also those of its customers through the development and provision of products with enhanced energy-saving performance. The company is the world’s leading supplier of CNC systems and industrial robots, as well as machine tools.
