Strategic Investment from FANUC to Turkish Industry: New Technology Center Opens!

FANUC Turkey's new Technology Center was officially opened with the participation of FANUC Global President & CEO Kenji Yamaguchi and FANUC Europe President & CEO Marco Ghirardello.
Opening Ceremony in FTR

FANUC Turkey Technology Center, the latest step in FANUC's investments in Turkey, commenced operations with an official ceremony. The opening ceremony was attended by FANUC Global President & CEO Kenji Yamaguchi, FANUC Europe President & CEO Marco Ghirardello, FANUC Turkey General Manager Teoman Alper Yiğit, industry stakeholders, business partners and numerous guests.

The event brought together senior executives, decision-makers and industry representatives from leading companies operating in various sectors such as manufacturing, automotive, white goods, moulding, plastics, machinery and electronics, both in Turkey and globally. Participants had the opportunity to examine FANUC's latest robotic, CNC and automation solutions on-site and experience them through live demonstrations.

Teoman Alper Yiğit, General Manager of FANUC Turkey & CIS Countries, emphasised in his opening speech that the center is not merely a space for displaying products, but also a hub of knowledge and experience that will contribute to the future of industry:

“The FANUC Turkey Technology Center brings together the knowledge, technology and application support that local manufacturers need in their digital transformation processes. We believe in Turkey's manufacturing power and engineering capabilities; this center will be a meeting point where we bring innovation to life in the field together with our business partners."

FANUC Global President & CEO Kenji Yamaguchi emphasised Turkey's importance in FANUC's global vision in his speech, stating: "At FANUC, we work to increase production efficiency and quality in factories around the world. Turkey is an extremely important hub for regional production, with its strong industrial foundations, strategic location and young workforce. With this new technology center, we will support Turkey's production potential by working more closely with our customers."

Marco Ghirardello, President & CEO of FANUC Europe, highlighted the center's importance within the European structure:

"Turkey plays a crucial role in FANUC's growth strategy in Europe. This new center will bring us closer to both our existing customers and new business partners. Here, we will offer a distinctive customer experience by enabling them to experience our sustainable production and advanced technology solutions first-hand."

Center for innovation, education and collaboration

The new FANUC Turkey Technology Center will serve as both a space for practical training in industrial robots, CNC control systems and machine solutions, and an innovation center where systems developed in collaboration with business partners will be tested.

Additionally, the center features the FIELD (FANUC Intelligent Edge Link and Drive) system Basic Package platform, Zero Down Time (ZDT) monitoring technology, and smart manufacturing solutions.

Visitors had the opportunity to closely examine the robotic automation cells, simulation-supported production systems, and productivity-enhancing applications on display at the center.

The opening of FANUC's new center aims to support developments focused on productivity, quality, sustainability and innovation in manufacturing, in line with Turkey's vision for digital transformation in industry.

The event concluded with a tour of the center and technology demonstrations following the opening. Participants had the opportunity to experience FANUC's advanced production technologies offered at its new center in Turkey first-hand.
