Cooker Hood Manufacturer Extracts the Advantages of FANUC Robots

It was 1994 when Turkey-based Silverline began trading, since when the company has produced millions of cooker extractor hoods. Today, ISO 9001-accredited Silverline is one of the 10 largest extractor hood manufacturers in the world, exporting to more than 70 countries from its 103,000 m2 state-of-the-art factory. With more than 4,000 product designs, the 1,850+ employee business has secured over 150 international design awards from the world’s most prestigious organisations, including the Red Dot Design Award, the iF Design Award and the European Product Design Award.
FANUC Robots Help Production Go Full Steam Ahead
With global trends in kitchen and cooker design constantly evolving, Silverline is adept at staying ahead of the curve through continuous innovation that draws together functionality and elegance. Accordingly, the company manufactures its cooker extraction hoods and other products using new-generation technologies.

Silverline’s co-operation with FANUC began in 2015, with the introduction of a FANUC six-axis industrial robot to an automated bonding project.

As it stands, Silverline complete 27% of its production throughput using FANUC robots, with models such as M-710𝑖C/70, R-2000𝑖C/165F, ARC Mate 120𝑖C, M-10𝑖A and M-20𝑖A delivering uninterrupted production.
“We are very pleased to collaborate with FANUC. FANUC contributes to our constant improvement strategy in production; our technological renewal,” states Çetin.
Exemplifying this strategy is Silverline’s recently installed FANUC CRX-10𝑖A/L collaborative robot (cobot), which works alongside company operatives to enhance production efficiency without the constraints of guarding or barriers.
“Technologies developed by FANUC in this area provide our manufacturing operations with flexibility and productivity. Moving forward, our partnership with FANUC regarding the improvement of our technology and production capacity will only grow stronger.” highlights Çetin.
The industrial transformation of Silverline’s factory, alongside the continual training of its qualified workforce, will further increase the flexibility of the company’s manufacturing processes.
