Total production of FANUC ROBOCUT has reached 30,000 units

JAPAN – FANUC Corporation announced that the total production of “ROBOCUT” – FANUCs wire-cut electric discharge machine - has reached 30,000 units.

Since the production start in 1975 advancements have steadily been made to reach the 30,000 milestone, thanks also to the guidance of many users worldwide.

Backed up by more than 40 years of history and experience FANUC has enhanced the speed and precision of ROBOCUT in order to handle requirements for increased precision in mold-making and parts machining.

The latest technologies are available in the newest ROBOCUT C-iB Series, released last year which includes a newly added model, ROBOCUT α-C800iB, with a maximum cutting area of X800mm x Y600mm x Z500mm and a 3000kg work-piece mass capacity.

Furthermore, auto wire feeding functions, Core Stitch function and the possibility of integration with FANUC robots have opened up many possibilities for automated systems that enable continuous unmanned operation, in order to optimize efficiency in the manufacturing workplace.

In the future ROBOCUT will continue to be developed as a high-value-added product, attuned to the needs of manufacturing.
